Tilting At Juggernauts

I marvel at the thrashing ignorance driving some US politicians. I recall that the Puritans were hellbent on having a country where they could burn people at the stake for taking up the wrong religion, and I wonder if people like DeSantis are the demon spawn of pervy Puritans.Speak nonsense in plain English and all is well, but you better not be caught speaking in tongues, unless you're from deeply Southern USA. The Puritos can put up with that version of the speaking-in-tongues nonsense as long as they get the votes of their fellow incomprehensible tongue tanglers.Does anyone else wonder why "God" always speaks to these people in their own language, regardless of national origin or birth language? Amazing.
