Shifting Gears in Cyberspace

I don't care for the apparition that is "Meta". That "'verse" is not for me. The system has threatened to lock my account if I don't hand over more information so they can "protect me". I have not been hacked there since I signed on in November, 2009. Perhaps I already have effective protection in place.

I guess it's a nice account I have there, and "they" think it would be a shame if anything happened to it. They have made an offer I can refuse.

I have been thinking for a few years that the whole operation is becoming increasingly toxic in ever more subtle ways, and that I should not be feeding that beast.

I will migrate my posting energy this direction over the next few weeks. Stay tuned, or take a walk in the moonlight, or a nap, or all of that. Maybe we can meet around the blogpost. We'll try to keep it upstanding.

Onward, through the Fog!
