Raising the Bar

The dilemma of humanity is multifold, but we have set the bar too low for functional attainment of civilization.We imagined Orwell's scenario, with its overt physical power to torment opposition. Too few of us foresaw the modern assault, where we have essentially allowed mass media in service of money to drill information holes into our skulls, without us noticing.Always some distraction comes around, and our attention spans are shrinking along with our options to achieve a better version of ourselves. Between hysteria and religion our evolutionary buggy is high-centered in the face of a climate disaster of our own making.
